As VOYAGEUR is being constructed and outfitted, Ken keeps involved in the sailing community by teaching both certification courses and adventure sails at the Humber College Sailing Center. He also gives classroom seminars on Intermediate Cruising Theory, Advanced Cruising Theory and most sailing related topics – sail trim, weather, navigation, boat systems, boat design, etc..

Ken is also an active member of the Humber Sailing Club where he co-chairs the education and safety committee. He is a lead mentor at the club, providing free instruction to club members to assist them in building skills.

Humber College Sailing and Power Boating Centre began operations in 1972 and has grown to become the largest sailing centre in eastern Canada. It is a comprehensive sailing facility that offers training at all levels of skill, a sail club for those that don’t own their own boat, and corporate training for companies who would like to meet or team build in the sailing environment. For more information on Humber programs click their logo at the bottom of the page.
