After weeks of reviewing charts and cruising guides, and talking with anybody we could about sailing the coast of BC and Alaska, we have come up with our schedule of courses for next summer.
Only 4 courses and each one is 3 weeks long. With such an amazing coast to explore, a shorter period of time wouldn't even begin to scratch the surface.
In the past two years we have sailed 35,000 miles on Voyageur 10.10, discovering and experiencing a wide range of landscapes and cultures, but next summer promises to be the most exiting yet.
The Pacific Northwest and Inside Passage are considered to be some of the best cruising grounds in the world. A photographer’s dream with magnificent vistas of snow covered mountain peaks, waterfalls, glacier-carved fjords that run deep into the interior. Unforgettable is the wildlife which includes orcas, humpbacks, and gray whales, dolphins, seals and sea lions. Bald eagles are commonplace and bears prowl the water’s edge snatching up their favourite meal.
What better way to experience this than on a cruising yacht, and Voyageur 10.10 was designed and build for exactly this kind of adventure.
Destinations include: Inside Passage, Alert Bay, Haida Gwaii, Prince Rupert, Ketchikan, Glacier Bay, Sitka, the West Coast of Vancouver Island, Gulf Islands . . . . .
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the coast up close and personal. The 3 weeks will afford us lots of opportunity to kayak and hike at many of the destinations.
